my reading history is very poor. after reading about Bill Cosby's speed reading technique i praticed that technique quite often;especially reading articles from magazines,newspaper and reading information from the internet.I found speed reading helpful but somewhat harmful because it makes me very lazy since i really didn't like reading anyway.I've discovered that reading with understanding profits me more than speed reading. I'm taking a speech class that has introduced me to the effects of good reading skills and how to apply it when trying to convey my undertstanding of critical listening and critical thinking in speech. i'm very please with this class. reading is not my favorite past time,but for me to continue in school i need to be able to express my thoughts and views on what i've read. i'm excited to gain this knowlege. i've always had a problem in evaluating what i've read because i never could explain it intelligently.
